X-Ray 4.3.3 Release Announcement
X-Ray 4.3.3 is now GA! This impact-packed release has 3 new tests, cluster power metrics, test improvements, G9 test data, and more.
Highlights:
New! Drive Failure and Data Rebuilt test: What better way to demonstrate AOS’s resiliency than when a drive fails? In this test, fail one or two drives, and watch the performance as AOS rebuilds the data and restores the cluster resiliency while running the workload. IOPS, latency, total disaster window and total rebuild time are measured.
New! iPerf Network Benchmarking test : a new foundational must-have test every time you run X-Ray. In this test you can choose a client-server topology from 4 choices, configure the number of iPerf clients and servers. Network performance metrics on total transmitted and received Throughput, and the total data transmitted are reported.
New! MultiDB HammerDB Benchmarking test: A server virtualization-like scenario to mix-and-match small, medium and large PostgreSQL databases with HammerDB TPCC workload. TPM, NOPM, IOPS and Latency are reported for each DB size group.
Test Updates: Data compression setting is added to Peak Performance, and AOS Sharding test is updated for AOS 6.7
New! Cluster Power Usage measurement is added for every test: Power-up your TCO calculations with the exact power used (in Watts) by the entire cluster as the workload of your choice is executed. Don’t rely on the max power spec for TCO calculations any more!
NX G9 Launch data: for the first time, X-Ray performance data is available with the launch of NX platforms. See the data on the Community Portal.
Other Improvements: Added % CPU used to the charts, new and improved notifications center and Community Portal is now the XRaaS home page.
