Nutanix have released AOS 6.10 (LTS), a long awaited release as the successor to the 6.5 LTS versions.
There are so many wonderful things included in this release from the short-term supported (STS) releases between 6.5 and 6.10.
A few highlights for me are:
- Live Migration Support for Credential Guard VMs
- DR to NC2 for vTPM VMs
- Emerald Rapids CPU Support
- All-Flash HCI Node with 24HR RPO (supporting 307TB of NVMe) – that’s just nuts (also, 24 x NVMe drives in an all-flash node)
(and the move to Rocky Linux away from CentOS)
It’s early days yet but I’ve had a couple of bugs in AOS 6.8 that are reportedly fixed in this 6.10 version so looking forward to that upgrade.
Also hoping that Veeam will soon support AOS 6.10 for customers who need to get off of the eSTS 6.8.
